Baker Demonstration School

Financial Aid

Baker Demonstration School offers tuition assistance to admitted students with demonstrated need. Financial aid process is completed independent of the admissions process. Baker's admission process is uniform regardless of a family's need or interest in financial aid.

Parents apply for financial aid after they submit the admissions application and then annually each winter for the following school year. Baker will consider financial aid applications only after an admission application is completed and submitted. Financial aid application does not guarantee receipt of tuition assistance.

Parents may pick up the School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) application in the Baker office or complete it online at www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. Our school code is 1460. The online application yields a faster response than the paper application. Financial aid applications for the 2010-11 school year must be submitted to SSS by February 15, 2010.

If a child is admitted whose family has completed the SSS process in a timely manner, the offered space will be held but no contract will be issued until the report from SSS and a copy of the family's 2009 tax return and other supporting documents have been submitted.  This year all documents must be submitted directly to SSS before a file will be processed.

Any questions about the process for seeking financial aid should be directed to the Director of Admission and Financial Aid, Deirdre Harrison at financialaid@bakerdemschool.org.
